The true KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) My friend and I popped in after some work drinks at South Bank (only a short walk away) and we were given a warm welcome by the staff. The target - Korean Fried Chicken. We went for the large portion between two. Half gochujang, half soy, and a bottle of Korean rice wine to share. Some home made pickles were brought out for the table and served as the drinking snack until the star of the show arrived. Beautifully crispy pieces of juicy chicken were had. The soy and gochujang sauces complemented each other very well. To round off the meal, we asked for some kimchi pork dumplings. Although the kimchi flavour got steamed out a little, they were still good. The overall experience felt very cosy and the food tasted home-cooked in the best possible way. We were both left impressed and agreed to return to sample more of the menu.

Zipbab Korean Restaurant is a great place to go for delicious and quick Korean food. The food was cooked fresh and the portions are generous. I popped in during my visits around the local museums for lunch and I ordered the Gimbab, which is a Korean dish made with rice, vegetables, and spiced ham wrapped in a seaweed roll (similar to the Japanese maki sushi rolls) and the seafood pancakes and both dishes were delicious all made & cooked to order. The restaurant also has a wide variety of other Korean dishes, so you are sure to find something that you like. The service at Zipbab is good. The staff are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere at the restaurant is casual and relaxed, and it is a great place to go with friends or family. Looking forward to try out more delicious dishes on my next visit!

I recently had lunch at Zipbab and it was a delightful experience. The ambiance was quiet and enjoyable, providing a perfect setting for a relaxing meal. The highlight of my visit was the excellent service from the waiter, who was incredibly informative about the different food options and accommodating to my request for a non-spicy version of the dish. I decided to try the Spicy Soft Tofu Soup with rice, which was a fantastic choice. Even with the modification, the flavors were rich and satisfying. The meal, priced around 15 pounds, offered great value for money considering the quality and service. Overall, the excellent customer service enhanced my dining experience, making it enjoyable and worry-free. Highly recommended!

So glad we tried this place. It looks a little like a deli counter when you first walk in, but there are tables at the back. When we arrived at 7pm on a Thursday there was almost no one there, but halfway during the meal we looked around and realised loads of people had arrived and the place was full - always a good sign! The food was amazing, some of the best Korean I’ve had in London. The seafood pancake came in individual portions, which was slightly strange, but it was crisp and tasty. The japchae was chewy and springy, which I really enjoyed - not a fan when it’s over cooked and becomes wet and mushy. We also had a beef stir fry that was sweet and savoury, really delicious. But my favourite was the KFC (we had the soy flavour). I’ve had quite a bit of KFC in London now and it’s difficult to get right - the batter can’t be too heavy, the seasoning can’t be too sweet and the chicken still needs to be moist. This one was just right - would go back just for that. Special mention to the lovely service. The staff is warm, friendly and really attentive - they spotted when we needed water refills, helped us arrange the table, immediately took empty plates away. Not the cheapest (for four dishes it was just shy of 60) but well worth it - and we took the leftovers for another meal. Will be back!

I always enjoy dining here—it’s my go-to spot for comfort food. The yukhoe with raw egg is a standout favorite, and the kimbap never disappoints. The bulgogi is tender, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The food is quick, and the service is welcoming. This place never lets me down!
